Scandinavian Photo Oslo

In February, I had the pleasure of hosting a live demonstration of the Photarch method at Scandinavian Photo in Oslo, in collaboration with FujiFilm. It was an inspiring evening where I had the opportunity to showcase how the method works in practice, using FujiFilm’s GFXII camera paired with the 120mm macro lens.

Throughout the evening, I conducted three separate demonstrations, walking the audience through the core principles behind Photarch: using a single key light, maintaining a consistent lighting angle, and preserving shadows with a white background. The FujiFilm GFXII truly excelled, capturing artifact details with remarkable precision and clarity.

It was a great experience to discuss the method and its potential with the attendees, sharing insights on how standardized artifact photography can make archaeological collections more consistent and accessible. The enthusiasm from the audience made the event truly memorable!

Looking forward to more events like this in the future!
