Awarded Fujifilm's GFX Challenge Grant

PHOTARCH has been selected as one of the recipients of Fujifilm's GFX Challenge Grant Program 2022. The project, PhotArch – an image of the past, received a Regional Grant Award: one of fifteen awards given worldwide, with a grant and the use of a GFX system for the length of the project.

The grant makes it possible to test the method more rigorously than before. More than 200 objects will be photographed at three institutions — Moesgaard Museum in Denmark, and Kalmar läns museum and Lund University Historical Museum in Sweden — to find out whether PHOTARCH holds up across different collections, rooms and handling conditions, and still gives pictures that can be compared one to one.

Objects from the three institutions, each photographed the same way and set side by side: the same light, the same ground, the same colour.
