Live Demo of PHOTARCH in Oslo

In February the PHOTARCH method was demonstrated live at Scandinavian Photo in Oslo, together with Fujifilm. The evening showed how the method works in practice, with the GFX100II and the 120 mm macro lens.

Three demonstrations went through its core principles: one key light, the same angle of light every time, and a white ground that keeps the shadow. The GFX100II handled the detail well; resolution and lens together suited close-range artefact photography.

The discussions afterwards were direct and useful. There is real interest in how a shared photographic method can make archaeological collections comparable across institutions, and more useful for research.

Thanks to Fujifilm Nordic and Scandinavian Photo Oslo.
