Presentation at Fotografiska during Fotokina in Stockholm

PHOTARCH was presented at this year's Fotokina, held at Fotografiska in Stockholm, as part of Fujifilm's programme: a presentation and live demonstration with the new GFX 100II medium-format camera and the new 120 mm tilt/shift lens.

The session looked at what tilt/shift offers controlled object photography, where precision and depth of field decide whether a picture can be used for documentation. The lens can set the plane of focus in the camera; the session compared that with the more common way, focus stacking with a macro lens and software.

Both techniques were worked through live on a set-up at hand, looking closely at how they affect the workflow, the consistency of the pictures and the detail they keep. The audience, mostly journalists, carried the discussion on afterwards: how the tools chosen shape visual documentation.

Thanks to Fujifilm for the invitation, and to Fotografiska for the setting.
